Sam Anderson
Sam Anderson, Livestock and Outreach Coordinator, coordinates training
and technical assistance for the Mobile Poultry Processing Unit and
develops materials for New Entry's other livestock programs. He also
conducts outreach for New Entry and guides program participants
through the application process.
Sam grew up on a farm in Ohio, where he learned firsthand about sheep,
poultry, forage and field crop management. Sam graduated from Kenyon
College with an English major and received his M.A. in Urban and
Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University. He has
previously worked in web communications at an agricultural research
branch of The Ohio State University and as an agricultural journalist
with a regional newspaper and a national agricultural news company. He
is also currently Editor of GeneWatch, a magazine focusing on the
ethics of genetic technologies.
