In this role, she has translated the long-standing Farm Business Planning Course into an online format intended to engage a broader audience that may experience barriers to traveling to Lowell for the weekly classroom sessions. Maura holds a Master of Science degree from the Agriculture, Food, and Environment Program at Tufts University and a Master of Public Health from the Tufts School of Medicine.

Before joining the New Entry team in 2007, Maura worked for Cornell Cooperative Extension Dutchess County managing a quarter-acre urban farm in Poughkeepsie, NY.  In addition, she sits on the board ofHybrid Vigor Projects, a non-profit organization which designs, develops, and produces socially-engaged participatory public project in service of positive social change. Launched in 2011, the Boston Tree Party is Hybrid Vigor's first production.
