Sheep and Goat School

This hands-on field school, hosted by Heifer International, will teach practical skills for raising sheep and goats, including:

• Breeds and uses (meat, milk, or fiber);
• Markets for meat, dairy and fiber;
• Small ruminant health and FAMACHA;
• Gestation and birthing;
• Handling sheep and goats;
• Hoof trimming, vaccination and other hands-on skills;
• Feed, pasture management and rotational grazing;

… and lots more. There will be plenty of sheep and goats to go around, so participants will have the chance to get some quality hands-on time with the animals.
