Cyrena Thibodeau is the Food Access Facilitator at the Food Hub. She previously served as the Americorps VISTA Food Access Facilitator. Cyrena’s role here is to expand New Entry’s Food Access Initiatives, both through the SNAP CSA shares and senior shares. She will work to strengthen existing partnerships and build new ones with programs in the area who work to connect people with needed resources. Cyrena is a graduate student at Tufts where she studies Agriculture, Food, and the Environment. She lives in Jamaica Plain currently and is originally from the Southcoast of MA. She graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle with a degree in Environmental Science. At her University, she was very actively involved with the student farm on campus which is where her passion for sustainable agriculture grew. After graduation she apprenticed on a mixed vegetable farm in WA. Her most recent role was produce purchaser for a local restaurant. Cyrena is excited to be part of New Entry and helping to create a more sustainable and equitable local food system.
