Ellie Hohenstein is originally from the Washington, D.C., area, and is excited to continue to explore the New England area while interning at New Entry this summer! Ellie received her bachelor's degree in in Global Studies with a concentration in health and sustainability from Drexel University in 2023 and started at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University last fall in the Agriculture, Food, and Environment master's program. Prior to her internship at New Entry, Ellie completed various other food-related internships, including working at a small teaching and production farm that ran Food as Medicine workshops in Pennsylvania and completing food trade economics research at the International Food Policy Research Institute in Washington, D.C. Ellie is passionate about the intersection of agriculture, health, and education, and hopes to develop her teaching and farming skills at New Entry this summer. Outside of thinking about all things food, Ellie enjoys camping, visiting new coffee shops, and reading.
