Ginger Turner is New Entry’s Special Projects Manager. Her work involves supporting the organization with communications, event planning, volunteer engagement, and developing systems processes.  She tackles special projects as needed and views her role as a teacher, cheerleader, and support system for the next generation of farmers as they begin to navigate the process of marketing and developing markets for their products.

Ginger comes to New Entry with a decade of involvement in the local food system. It was love at first bite when she picked up her first Community Supported Agriculture share in 2009 and she’s never looked back. After graduating from Tufts University with a degree in Anthropology in 2011, Ginger began working for a large local farm as CSA Manager where she experienced first hand the logistical, marketing, customer service, and quality demands of scaling up a successful Community Supported Agriculture program. Most recently, Ginger was the C.O.O. of a small Boston-based meal kit company. In this role she experienced the challenges of being a buyer trying to source local food within the structure of a traditional food distribution system.

Ginger is an avid gardener, skilled cook, bee keeper, and fresh vegetable evangelist. Her favorite farm fresh meal is balsamic grilled eggplant with roasted red peppers, goat cheese, and chives.
