Leah Jurman, Incubator Farm Manager

Leah is responsible for managing technical assistance programs for New Entry and serves as the primary coordinator for farmers enrolled in the project. She teaches field-based workshops and assists in production, business development, marketing, and transitioning farmers onto independent sites. She manages incubator training farms and related farm equipment and site preparation for dozens of new entry growers each season on 15 acres of land in Beverly, MA.  Leah also works directly with New Entry program farmers and staff and is responsible for helping farmers work towards independent farming goals and overall farm profitability. Prior to joining New Entry, Leah served as an Agriculture Team Coordinator for The Trustees and she spent five years as the Assistant Farm Manager at Appleton Farms.  Leah has also served as Assistant Grower on multiple eastern Massachusetts farms.  Leah holds a BS in Biology and Global Studies from Emmanuel College.
