Lily serves as the Farmer Training Curriculum Intern at New Entry Sustainable Farming Project, helping to improve and implement training programs and preparing the next iteration of the hands-on course. She is passionate about exploring and teaching the intricate relationship between food systems, sustainability, and health, specifically the vital connection between soil health and nutrition. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Science in Agriculture, Food, and Environment at Tufts Friedman School. She has experience in habitat restoration, conservation, and food systems education through roles with the National Audubon Society, Environmental Leadership Incubator, Climate Farm School, and the Traditional Ecological Knowledge Lab. During her time in undergrad at UCSB, she designed and taught the first student-led, hands-on Sustainable Food Studies Course that addressed food security, life cycle analysis of food systems, agricultural histories and economies, and nutrition. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, and hiking.
