Allison Koch is serving as the TerraCorps Community Engagement Coordinator at New Entry. Through collaboration with AmeriCorps VISTAs and New Entry team members, Allison will assist in the development of community partnerships, as well as civic engagement and public outreach materials for New Entry’s training programs. Allison is originally from Stow, Massachusetts, but spent four years living in the Finger Lakes Region of New York while studying Environmental Studies and Anthropology at the Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Prior to her position at New Entry, Allison interned with the Community Development Department in Cambridge, MA, where she coordinated a high school youth program to initiate public outreach to promote awareness of local sustainability initiatives, including Cambridge’s pilot composting program and new bike path development. She is eager to familiarize herself with local areas in and around Lowell, MA, and Allison is looking forward to making connections with local residents, community groups and the farming community.
