Reasons to Support New Entry

The money from every donation goes directly to supporting our mission of equipping small farms and new farmers with the training, land, and support they need to grow strong businesses and stem the tide of small farm decline.

New Entry is committed to creating a healthy food environment for New England and beyond across the US. We are on the cutting edge of growing a vibrant, resilient food system - one where a diversity of successful farm “agripreneurs” of all scales and enterprises grow fresh, healthy food on active working landscapes to feed their communities.

New Entry believes that access to fresh, locally grown food is critically important to our long-term food security, and we must preserve food production knowledge by training the next generation of farmers and food producers to succeed. We coordinate a food access program for local, low-income individuals through our Food Hub. New Entry is also a model for similar organizations across the country and we are working at a national scale to replicate our success and reach beyond the borders of Massachusetts to help communities rejuvenate their food environment.

Our work benefits not only local farmers and the land, but communities as a whole. Make a donation here

Fundraising Event: 2026 Gibbet Hill Cattle Run

Each August, six of our staff and summer interns head to beautiful Gibbet Hill in Groton, MA to dodge cow patties, nimbly traverse livestock trails, and slosh through mud to raise funds for New Entry's farmer training programs. We look forward to returning in 2026 to complete two, 1.4 mile loops up the big hill, passing the veggie baton between team members. This is not a race for the faint of heart, but it's for a great cause!

Thank you for helping us continue to support new farmers - and cross the finish line! Here's more info about the run.
