Reasons to Support New Entry

New Entry is comitted to creating a healthy food environment for New England and other communities across the country.  We are on the cutting edge of growing a vibrant, resilient food system - one where communities have a diversity of successful farm “agripreneurs” of all scales and enterprises - who are growing fresh, healthy food on active working landscapes to feed their communities.  We believe that access to fresh, locally grown food is critically important to our long-term food security, and we must preserve food production knowledge by training the next generation of farmers and food producers to succeed.  We coordinate an expanding food access program for local, low-income individuals through New Entry's Food Hub.  New Entry is also a model for similar organizations across the country.  We are working at a national scale to replicate our success and reach beyond the borders of Massachusetts to help other communities rejuvenate their food environment.  This benefits not only local farmers and the land, but communities as a whole.

Support our Teams in the 2024 Gibbet Hill Cattle Run!

On Wednesday, August 7th at 6:00pm, six of our intrepid staff and summer interns will be trekking up the Gibbet Hill in Groton, MA dodging cow patties, nimbly traversing livestock trails, and sloshing in mud to raise funds for New Entry's farmer training programs.  Please consider joining this year's teams as they form a relay of 3 team members who will each complete two, 14 mile loops up the big hill, passing the veggie baton between team members.  This is not a race for the faint of heart, but it's for a great cause!   Can you help cheer our teams on by helping them reach their fundraising goals?  We aim to raise $1,500 per team ($3,000 total) and we need your help!  Stay tuned as we prepare our fundaising pages, and you can check back here to make your contributions here to cheer on our dedicated runners!

Thank you in advance for helping us reach our goals and finishing strong!
