New Entry is thrilled to announce the launch of its highly anticipated Practicum in Sustainable Agriculture, an immersive hands-on course designed to empower youth with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the field of sustainable agriculture.
Farm incubators are designed to give beginning farmers access to land, training, equipment and other resources. The goal of these programs is to help new farmers overcome the many barriers to starting out in agriculture.
Promotion of the New Entry's CSA program and our other food initiatives! CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture, and it’s a concept that’s gained popularity in the U.S. over the past 30 years. The basic idea is that consumers invest in a farm harvest before the season gets underway; this gives farmers capital when they need it. The subscribers then receive a portion of the harvest. Traditionally, that’s come in the form of a weekly box of produce, and the contents depend on what happens to be bountiful at the moment.
