The 13th Annual National FIELD School brought together agricultural leaders from incubator and apprenticeship programs nationwide, hosted in collaboration with FAIRSHARE CSA Coalition and the University of Wisconsin Extension. The event featured discussions on crucial topics like food aggregation, mentor farmer programs, agroforestry apprenticeships, land access, and strategies for balancing education with production goals.
Farm incubators are designed to give beginning farmers access to land, training, equipment and other resources. The goal of these programs is to help new farmers overcome the many barriers to starting out in agriculture.
